It's our 200th episode of the podcast!! I'm over the moon excited to celebrate this and, of course, wanted to make it a special episode. We usually do something big and crazy every 50 episodes to celebrate, but this time I'm taking it back to the roots.
For this special episode I'm going solo to share the 20 things you have to know if you're going to see success as an entrepreneur. These are lessons I picked up quick or learned the long and hard way, but these are the must-knows for new entrepreneurs and the great reminders for those of us that have played this game for a while. So share this episode to help another entrepreneur and to celebrate OUR 200TH EPISODE with us!
Going it alone takes way longer - collaboration gets you more growth.
Follower count means absolutely nothing.
Master the art of time management as early as you can.
Paid ads won’t sell a crappy offer.
The easy / quick way is usually not the best way.
You get what you pay for.
Just because a mentor says to do it, doesn’t mean you should.
Market research isn’t a suggestion. It’s a requirement.
Showing up everywhere doesn’t work unless you have a team.
It’s not always worth jumping on the new trend.
Pivoting doesn’t mean you’re a quitter.
You didn’t fail if you didn’t make 6 figures in 6 months.
Success isn’t based on how busy you are. (Burnout comes faster than you think!)
You don’t have to spend money to make money, but it helps. Stop comparing yourself to people that have the money to spend.
Don’t share all the details of your ideas unless you’re ready to start them.
Be very careful which bridges you burn. Remember, everyone’s connected and you never know who people know.
Invest in yourself as much as you invest in the business.
Integrity will pay off more than any strategy/method/offer ever will.
Everyone has felt the way you feel right now. Imposter syndrome shows up in some form for everyone.
Don’t ever believe you’re done learning.
